Reindeer safari at Reindeer Lake Resort Reindeer Farm in Pello, close to Rovaniemi in Lapland

Welcome to a reindeer safari in Pello, Lapland. Our farm sits on the shores of the idyllic Lake Puolamajärvi, about 75 km west of Rovaniemi and 25 km east of the Pello centre. Even the drive to our farm is an experience, as the road between Rovaniemi & Pello is part of the beautiful Lake-Lapland. On our safari, you’ll ride in a sleigh pulled by reindeer through snowy forest, enjoying all that Lapland’s nature has to offer. At the end of your trip, you’ll give lichens to the reindeer. When we return from the safari, we’ll go to Lato building to grill some sausages & make pot-coffee. Tea, hot chocolate & homemade buns are also available.

After that, we’ll throw suopunki (reindeer herder’s lasso) and maybe start a little competition. As part of our safari, you’ll see our reindeer (over 100), and we’ll tell you all about the life of a reindeer herder and reindeer in general. Duration of the entire program is about 2 h. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a pick-up service.
